- These molds enable precise replacement of the damaged blue anti-reflective (AR) filter/coating on the rear camera assembly without the need to remove the phone’s non-removable iron frame. Ideal for accurate positioning, efficient repair workflow, and minimizing risk during camera restoration procedures.
- How the Repair Process Works
- 1)- Heat & Remove: A heat source (like a hot air station, typically around 260c is used to soften the adhesive of the broken blue light coating.
- 2)- Clean: The old lens is pried off, and the camera base is thoroughly cleaned using a blower and optical glue/cleaning agents.
- 3)- Align & Install: The new blue-light filter/patch is placed into the metal positioning mold, which snaps securely onto the phone frame.
- 4)- Glue & Cure: Optical UV adhesive is applied around the edges and cured using a UV lamp, guaranteeing a permanent, flush, and dust-free fit.
